I am so pleased that I won a Juror Award for my oil portrait of the late Civil Rights Activist and Senator John Lewis. He was on a show on tv and I shot some photos from my iphone while watching him. One of those images became my reference for the ensuing portrait. The award means more to me because the juror was nationally acclaimed artist, Michelle Dunaway, www.dunawayfineart.com
